It’s probably one of the first questions you’ll have when you start thinking about wedding flowers - and also one of the hardest to get a straight answer to.
And yes, we know ‘it depends’ sounds like the classic answer when someone doesn’t want to give you a price. But with wedding flowers, it genuinely does. Two weddings at the same venue with the same number of guests could have completely different flower budgets depending on what you want, where you want it and the scale of the designs.
For a professionally designed wedding with personal flowers, venue flowers, delivery and set-up, budgets can easily sit anywhere from £1,500 to £5,000+. Larger installations or flower-heavy weddings can go well beyond that.
To give you some context, bridal bouquets are typically around £165-£250, while statement venue pieces can range from a few hundred pounds to £1,000+ depending on their scale and complexity.
What affects the cost of wedding flowers?
The biggest factor is usually the scale of what you're asking for. A handful of bud vases will cost considerably less than large arrangements designed to frame your ceremony.
The number of arrangements matters too. If you're having flowers for your ceremony, reception tables and bridal party, the costs will naturally add up.
And your quote isn't just the flowers you see on the day. It also covers the planning, sourcing, preparation and design work that goes into creating them. Delivery, setting up and sometimes collecting arrangements afterwards are part of the overall cost too.
Some designs also require more preparation or time on site to install, which can influence the final price.

Around £1,500–£1,980
£1,500 is our minimum spend for full-service wedding flowers. At this budget, you could have:
A bridal bouquet
Three bridesmaid bouquets
Four adult buttonholes
A registrar table arrangement
Thirty bud vases for your reception tables
Two small meadows
Around £1,800–£2,600
This gives you more flexibility to include a larger statement arrangement that could be repurposed throughout your wedding.
For example, you could keep the same flowers as above but swap the registrar table arrangement for a large 2-metre floor meadow. This could frame your ceremony before being moved to your reception.
Around £2,500–£3,400
With a larger budget, there's more scope for statement designs and additional arrangements across your venue.
For example, you could have:
A bridal bouquet
Three bridesmaid bouquets
Four adult buttonholes
A large 2-metre meadow
Two small meadows
Six low bowl arrangements
Twenty bud vases
These aren't fixed packages. How far your budget goes depends on the designs you choose and where you want to use them.
How do you work out your wedding flower budget?
A good starting point is to think about where you actually want flowers.
Start with the arrangements you know you'd like, whether that's your bouquet, ceremony flowers or table arrangements. You can then look at the estimated costs and decide where you'd prefer to put more of your budget.
It's also worth thinking about which arrangements could be used more than once. For example, ceremony flowers can more often than not be moved to your reception, helping you get more use out of them.
